CHALLENGE
Create a distinctive cookbook concept for a Basel-based entrepreneur launching a bagel brand. The goal was to present bagels as a versatile and inspiring food, moving beyond the traditional perception of simple bakery items. The cookbook needed to communicate creativity, accessibility, and visual appeal while positioning the brand as modern, playful, and design-driven.
PROJECT
I developed the full creative concept for the cookbook, defining the visual direction, structure, and storytelling approach. Working closely with the entrepreneur, I designed the layout and overall aesthetic of the book to create a cohesive and engaging reading experience. I art directed the project from concept to completion, styling and photographing each recipe to highlight the textures, colors, and versatility of the bagels. In addition to food styling and photography, I designed the editorial layout and visual identity of the book, ensuring that typography, imagery, and composition worked together to create a clear and compelling brand narrative. The result was a visually driven cookbook that celebrates bagels as a creative culinary canvas while supporting the entrepreneur’s brand vision.
